Hello, and welcome to ByAlpha Couture. I’m Janet, the founder, designer, and hands behind every handcrafted hat, fascinator, and headpiece you see here.
My creative journey began in London, where I first fell in love with design through Soft Furnishings. Sewing, shaping, and perfecting home décor pieces taught me the value of fine materials, detail, and craftsmanship.
In 2003, I relocated to the United States. Living in Maine at the time, I saw a need for high-end, stylish headwear, and in 2014, ByAlpha Couture was born. What began as curiosity — experimenting with pleating, shaping, and layering fabrics — soon became a calling.

Every ByAlpha Couture creation blends classic millinery techniques with modern flair and cultural inspiration. From pleated crinoline layers to hand-curved feathers, Swarovski crystal finishes, and bespoke African-inspired touches, each design is a statement of individuality and elegance.

Today, I design and handcraft each ByAlpha Couture headpiece in my studio in Ellenwood, Georgia. Whether you choose from our Ready-to-Wear Collection or commission a Made-to-Order creation, you can be confident that every detail has been carefully considered to bring your vision to life.
